6. Be mindful of your eating habits – You must continue to eat healthily in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Eat more fruits and vegetables and fewer carbs, salt, and harmful fat in your diet. Don’t eat junk food or sweets. Avoid skipping meals since your body will crave more food once you resume eating. Keep in mind that you should burn more calories than you consume.

7. Believe in yourself and your ability to change – Part of the battle with success is convincing yourself that you can succeed. Replace your negative self-talk with an image of you succeeding in making the changes you want to make.

8. Build a goal-oriented approach and take modest measures – Just like at work or at home, you have a timetable to stick to and specific responsibilities to do. Tasks and a strategy should be part of your new healthy lifestyle.

9. Take steps to eliminate the negative triggers in your life – Delete your social media account if it makes you feel horrible about yourself. Take a break from alcohol if it makes you want to smoke a cigarette. You probably already know what sets off your negative habits; now is the time to figure out how to avoid them.
